WASHINGTON/SEOUL -- The U.S. announcement on Thursday that Russia has used ballistic missiles and launchers supplied by North Korea signals a new level of cooperation between the two authoritarian states, potentially giving Moscow another advantage in the long-running war in Ukraine.

National security spokesperson John Kirby said during the White House daily media briefing that Washington has new intelligence that North Korea recently provided Russia with ballistic missile launchers and several ballistic missiles.
