KYIV, Ukraine -- The civilian toll from the siege of Kyiv suburbs by Russian forces has come increasingly to light as residents recount indiscriminate shootings and killings.

Apartment complexes in the town of Borodyanka were destroyed by Russian missiles, leaving a pile of rubble. In Bucha, where hundreds were killed, bodies were exhumed Friday from a temporary grave near a church.
