TOKYO/LONDON -- Delegations from around the world are gathering at a Swiss resort this weekend to discuss a "path to peace" in Ukraine, after weeks of anxious buildup and accusations that Russia and China were trying to derail the talks.

A list released by the Swiss government shows that as of Friday, 92 countries were due to attend. From Asia, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was one of few top leaders listed, with South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and India all dispatching ministerial- or envoy-level representatives. Heads of state from East Timor, Fiji and Palau were also committed.
