PALO ALTO, U.S. -- The war in Ukraine continues to play out beyond the physical battlefield as the country expands its campaign to turn the tech world against Russia and shift the playing field more in its favor.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation, which had been working to move government services online before Russia invaded in late February, is now leading the Ukrainian digital counterattack. It provided Nikkei with a list of 200-plus companies from which Ukraine has requested cooperation as of Monday. Deputy Minister Oleksandr Bornyakov had put the total at more than 70 when he spoke to Nikkei on March 5.
