HANOI -- Vietnam has opened up another corruption trial against Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, the businesswoman-turned-fugitive known as Madam Nhan, in a case with potential links to a power struggle within Vietnam's ruling Communist Party.
The new charges allege that Nhan, the former chairwoman of Advanced International Joint Stock Co., also known as AIC, conspired with local health officials in northeastern Vietnam to forge bidding documents.
