Widodo sees openness making Indonesia competitive

JAKARTA -- Indonesia targets economic competitiveness through deregulation and liberalization, including participation in free trade agreements, President Joko Widodo said Tuesday.

Openness will complement massive infrastructure investments to spur economic growth, raising the country's international profile, Widodo told The Nikkei in an interview.
