Xi stresses 'zero tolerance' for corruption ahead of party congress

BEIJING -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday touted a zero-tolerance approach to corruption within the Communist Party, bringing the spotlight back onto his sweeping anti-graft campaign before the upcoming twice-a-decade party congress.

Speaking at an annual meeting of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Xi said China's top anti-graft body has "combated corruption with unprecedented courage and resolve," according to the official Xinhua News Agency.
