JAKARTA/KUALA LUMPUR -- In just a few months new fast-food chain, Almaz Fried Chicken, has opened 37 outlets in Indonesia -- mostly in Greater Jakarta but also in a couple of cities on Sumatra Island.
Speaking in early December, Chief Executive Okta Wirawan said he wanted to open 10 more by the end of the year as the chain expects to to break even seven months after opening its first outlet in June by luring consumers who would have earlier eaten at Western chains like KFC.
