JAKARTA -- Kartika Riri, a 29-year-old office worker, bought medical insurance last year for the first time.
"It's just an addition if I have to be hospitalized to complement the government's national health care security, whose services I think are insufficient," Riri, who lives in Yogyakarta in central Java, told Nikkei Asia.
