WASHINGTON -- The leaders of the U.S. and China are set to meet on Wednesday on the sidelines of the APEC summit in San Francisco in an attempt to show the world their damaged relationship is healing.
The face-to-face meeting between Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, at an undisclosed location in the Bay Area, might be their last before the U.S. presidential election next November. The burning question as they sit down together for the first time in a year is how they will manage fractious ties throughout an American political season that will almost certainly be filled with anti-China rhetoric.
