BEIJING -- One chilly Saturday evening late last year, 33,000 people gathered at Beijing Workers' Stadium to watch two of China's top professional video gaming teams face off in the annual championship for the Honor of Kings smartphone game.
They were the lucky ones. Tickets for the King Pro League Grand Finals, priced at 288 yuan ($39) to 1,688 yuan, sold out in 11 minutes.
