Surrender comes as Beijing targets 'systemic and regional corruption'

A senior official of China's anti-graft watchdog overseeing investigations of corruption among financial regulators and state-owned enterprise executives turned himself in to authorities over suspected serious disciplinary violations.

Wang Youbin, a second-level inspector of the 13th investigation office of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), voluntarily surrendered and is currently under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation, according to the CCDI website.
