Since Sept. 1, the Beijing Stock Exchange has attracted 470,000 new registered investors, taking its total number of accounts to 6.05 million, according to the exchange.

Chinese investors are flocking to new stock offerings on the Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) after the securities regulator in September issued a new round of revisions for the bourse targeting small and medium-sized enterprises.

Investors' enthusiasm boosted recent BSE debuts, even though Chinese stock markets overall have been subdued.
