TOKYO -- Following the court-ordered removal of former Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, the country's ruling coalition has quickly reorganized, shedding some military-backed lawmakers while adding others to increase its share of parliamentary seats.

The Pheu Thai Party, the largest force in the coalition, has replaced Srettha with its leader, Paetongtarn Shinawatra. She appears eager to advance the economic and other agendas of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Pheu Thai's founder and her father.
