TOKYO -- "Thank you very much," a young man next to me said out of the blue at this year's World Economic Forum annual meeting. He seemed to be indicating the blue-and-gold ribbon I was wearing, a gift from a Ukrainian legislator I had met the day before.
He introduced himself as Fedir Serdiuk, and his card described him as an adviser to Ukraine's finance minister. The 27-year-old said he was making his second appearance in Davos, Switzerland, where he was urging international support for Ukraine as someone working to provide emergency medical care on the front lines of the war.
