TOKYO -- At the end of Donald Trump's first term in January 2021, I wrote a column titled "Farewell to the Pro Wrestler President." Now that Trump will return to the Oval Office this January, a brawl appears to be unfolding in the ring before the bell has even rung.

Trump likes to deploy political tactics similar to the antics of professional wrestlers. He identifies the antagonists and unleashes a wave of verbal abuse. Illegal holds are allowed up to a count to five. Trump will not hesitate to get involved in a ringside melee. And on it goes.
