TOKYO -- As Southeast Asia braces for an unprecedented heat wave this summer, concern is growing that Vietnam may face another power crisis this year.

"Global boiling" is already apparent across the region, with temperatures soaring well above 40 C in Thailand last month. Although April is usually the country's hottest month, this year's heat seems unusually severe.
