SINGAPORE -- U.S. pharmaceutical giant Moderna has raised the possibility of making COVID-19 vaccines tailored to specific countries or regions, in a potential shift from a one-size-fits-all approach to battling the virus.

In an online briefing on Wednesday, the vaccine maker's Chief Medical Officer Paul Burton said different places in the world tend to have different dominant strains of the coronavirus.
