China tech hub Shenzhen closes off parts of city for 2 days

GUANGZHOU -- The Chinese tech hub of Shenzhen on Friday imposed 48 hours of restrictions on movement in central districts, putting people and businesses including Apple supplier Foxconn's assembly lines under a de facto lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The restrictions take effect at 12:00 a.m. Saturday and cover Longhua, home to many electronics factories, and Futian.
