Japan should lift entry cap, declare COVID-19 endemic: Keidanren

TOKYO -- Japan should end coronavirus border restrictions and approach COVID-19 as an endemic disease now that vaccines and treatments are available, the country's top business lobby proposed Monday.

"We would like the government to declare [the coronavirus as] endemic as soon as possible," the Japan Business Federation, known as Keidanren, said in a statement.
