BANGKOK -- The Thai government decided to extend the suspension of quarantine-free entry for fully vaccinated tourists on Friday, while also limiting hours for alcohol consumption at eateries as coronavirus cases resurge sharply.

The verdicts will adversely affect Southeast Asia's second-largest economy, as it is largely dependent on tourism and related businesses.
