TOKYO -- Binance, the world's leading cryptocurrency trading platform, started offering services in Japan through a subsidiary on Tuesday in a bid to maintain operations in compliance with regulators.

Binance entered into the Japanese market through the purchase of Tokyo-based crypto platform Sakura Exchange BitCoin in November 2022. That exchange operator officially changed its name to Binance Japan on Tuesday.
