SINGAPORE -- Singapore state investment firm Temasek Holdings has joined Facebook's Libra cryptocurrency project, the Libra Association announced Thursday.

A major boost for the Swiss-based Libra Association, Temasek said it was joining the non-profit independent organization formed to facilitate the development of the cryptocurrency to explore its advanced use.
