HONG KONG -- Hong Kong police have arrested six people in connection with suspected cryptocurrency fraud involving at least 1 billion Hong Kong dollars ($127.8 million) worth of virtual assets.

Two women and four men, including online influencer Joseph Lam, were detained by officers on Monday, less than a week after the city's financial regulators warned investors about JPEX, a cryptocurrency trading platform, over alleged fraudulent activity.
