NEW YORK -- A U.S. court paused a federal civil fraud case against Justin Sun on Thursday after the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Chinese cryptocurrency entrepreneur said they were exploring a joint resolution.

Lawyers for Sun, who is also an adviser to a crypto project backed by U.S. President Donald Trump, and the SEC asked that the case be put on hold, citing the interests of both sides and the public. They proposed submitting a status report within 60 days.
