KUALA LUMPUR -- The Malaysian government will take comprehensive steps to address rising cybercrime on social media and messaging platforms, said Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.

"These threats and harms are alarming. There were three main issues raised at the cabinet today on online crimes such as scams, cyberbullying and sexual crimes against children, especially paedophilia," said Fahmi at the post cabinet press conference on Wednesday.
