JAL says system restored, resumes ticketing after suspension of several hours

TOKYO -- Japan Airlines announced on Thursday that a cyberattack had affected its systems, leading to delays in domestic and international flight operations.

JAL said it started experiencing the cyberattack at 7:24 a.m. The cyberattack is occurring on "network equipment that connects our internal and external systems," the company said. "Problems have occurred in the systems that communicate with external systems."
