DAVOS, Switzerland -- Li Qiang made his first address as China's premier to an audience of the World Economic Forum's annual gathering in the snowy Swiss town of Davos on Tuesday.

As he focused on enticing foreign corporations and investors to continue doing business in China, the premier jumped the gun to reveal that the country's economy grew by 5.2% last year, a day before the official announcement scheduled on Wednesday.
