BANGKOK -- Akalarp Yimwilai has resigned from his post as a director of the troubled crypto exchange Zipmex Asia, a few weeks after a Singapore court approved its debt restructuring moratorium extension by two months.

Effective May 9, Akalarp Yimwilai will no longer serve as director of Zipmex Asia while remaining as a director of its Thai unit, Zipmex Company, according to a legal document sent by the company to its creditors.
