Asia-focused SPAC Golden Star looks to raise $100m in U.S. IPO

Company in hunt for businesses in tech, clean energy and health care

CEBU, Philippines -- Golden Star Acquisition, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that targets companies with significant businesses in Asian markets, has filed for an initial public offering in the U.S. in a bid to raise $100 million.

In a Dec. 9 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it plans to raise $100 million by offering 10 million units at $10 each.
