China medical investor Alwin Capital closes fund at $300m

Firm specializes in life science investments such as medical robots, equipment

Founded in 2015, Alwin Capital invests in life science companies and has secured the final close of a dual-currency fund.

HONG KONG -- Chinese venture capital firm Alwin Capital said it has secured the final close of a dual-currency fund at $300 million to invest in life and interdisciplinary sciences.

The yuan investors in the dual-currency fund include large funds of funds, Chinese government guidance funds, medical industry and insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions in China, the company said in a statement without divulging names.
