Hong Kong's Gaw Capital targets Australian renewable energy

Private equity investor teams up with energy storage company Maoneng Group

BANGKOK -- Hong Kong private equity real estate investor Gaw Capital Partners has teamed up with the Maoneng Group, a New South Wales-based renewable energy and battery storage developer, to set up a joint venture for renewable projects in Australia.

Gaw Capital announced the move on Wednesday, saying it will take a majority stake in the Gaw Maoneng Renewables (GMR) joint venture. The platform marks the company's first-ever investment in clean energy.
