NEW DELHI -- "Coding-for-kids" startup WhiteHat Jr -- owned by Indian education technology company Byju's -- has laid off around 300 employees globally, a source close to the company told DealStreetAsia.

Separately, business-to-business marketplace Udaan has fired 180 employees, joining a wave of Indian startups cutting staff to curb costs in the face of tough markets.
