Indian human resources tech startup BetterPlace raises $40m

Company will use funds to boost AI capability, strengthen other technology

NEW DELHI -- India's BetterPlace, a tech startup that offers a workforce management platform, said on Tuesday that it has raised $40 million as part of an extended Series C round from several new investors, along with existing investors Jungle Ventures and British International Investment.

The company had raised $24 million as part of the first tranche of its Series C led by Singapore's Jungle Ventures and Delhi's CX Partners in September 2021, when it was valued at around $90 million. In 2020, it raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Jungle Ventures.
