KKR to invest $400m in India's Serentica Renewables

Company aims to decarbonize energy-intensive industries

NEW DELHI -- Private equity giant KKR is set to invest $400 million in Serentica Renewables, an Indian decarbonization platform that provides clean energy solutions for energy-intensive industries, according to an announcement.

Serentica, which is held by Twinstar Overseas, focuses on industrial decarbonization and aims to make renewables the primary source of energy for commerce and industry, which consume more than 50% of the electricity generated in India.
