Singapore alternative meat startup raises $100m in Series A round

SINGAPORE -- Alternative meat maker Next Gen Foods has raised $100 million in a Series A round from Indonesia-based venture capital firm Alpha JWC Ventures and others.

New investors include EDBI, the investment arm of Singapore's Economic Development Board, and U.K.-based MPL Ventures, a venture firm owned by Paul McCartney that typically invests in music companies.
