University of Michigan commits $35m to Bain Asia-Pacific fund

China, Japan, South Korea, India and Australia are among fund's targets

CEBU, Philippines -- The University of Michigan has approved a $35 million commitment to Bain Capital's fifth Asia-Pacific fund, according to a university board document.

The commitment to Bain Capital Asian Fund V LP was reported by the university's regents at a meeting early this month, when it announced an aggregate of $210 million in investment commitments.
