Vietnam based Mekong Capital aims at 12 targets for latest fund

Company focuses on biotech, plans some exits soon

HANOI -- Having made seven investments from its latest $246 million fund, Vietnam-based private equity firm Mekong Capital plans to invest in 12 companies, and to draw on reserve capital for follow-on funding.

Mekong Enterprise Fund IV (MEF IV), which was closed in early 2021, has deployed less than half of its corpus, Chris Freund, founder and partner of Mekong Capital, told DealStreetAsia in a recent interview.
