GUANGZHOU -- Huawei Technologies will build a network of superfast electric vehicle chargers through a new alliance with Chinese EV makers, encouraging more motorists to go electric by letting them get back on the road within minutes.

The consortium, announced at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in April, includes BYD and 10 other EV manufacturers. The group said its first goal is to make the charging experience more user-friendly.
