NEW YORK -- Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng Motors plans to expand its offerings and branch into more markets in the coming years, as the company narrowed losses and boosted revenue in the last quarter.

Xpeng's stock initially traded higher at the New York market opening on the better-than-expected results for the quarter ended on Dec. 31 before trending down.
