Asia quadruples financing for pollution-fighting projects

TOKYO -- Asia has eclipsed Europe when it comes to lending to projects designed to directly lessen pollution, with $56 billion extended to such projects in 2021, up more than fourfold from the previous year, according to statistics compiled by Environmental Finance Data.

Up until last year, Europe had been leading the world in lending to such projects.
