SYDNEY -- Furniture using recycled plastic is gradually gaining favor in Australia as consumers and business owners begin to act on their awareness of climate change, marine pollution and other forms of environmental degradation.

At the forefront of the slowly but steadily growing trend is DesignByThem, a Sydney-based company founded and run by industrial designers.
