SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt -- Informal communication with the U.S. on climate change cooperation has resumed at the COP27 United Nations climate conference, Chinese special climate envoy Xie Zhenhua said on Wednesday.

Xie said when he and U.S. special climate envoy John Kerry arrived in Egypt for COP27, they "decided to maintain communications between our two delegations, two teams, as friends."
