JAKARTA -- U.S. oil giant ExxonMobil has promised to invest up to $15 billion to develop carbon storage facilities in Indonesia, the country's investment minister said.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and others met with representatives of companies affiliated with the US-ASEAN Business Council in Jakarta on Tuesday. Minister of Investment Roeslani Rosan said that Exxon directly informed Prabowo of its intention to invest at that time. He did not disclose further details about the commitment.
