Japan, Southeast Asia to vow cooperation at 1st zero-emissions meet

TOKYO -- Japan and Asian neighbors will pledge to work together to develop and spread a wide range of decarbonization technologies when their ministers gather for an Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) meeting here Saturday, Nikkei has learned.

In a joint statement to be issued at the meeting, AZEC says it recognizes the need to address climate change as a common global challenge and will cooperate while ensuring energy security.
