TOYO -- Japanese trading house Sumitomo Corp. will join a Canadian project to build one of the world's biggest hubs for capturing and storing carbon dioxide.

Sumitomo will work with local development company Reconciliation Energy Transition Inc. (RETI) to build the hub, including a compression facility and pipelines, in Calgary, according to plans announced on Friday.
