LOS ANGELES -- The largest port in the U.S. is aiming to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by the end of this decade, and the adoption of hydrogen for heavy equipment is seen as the trump card for achieving that goal.
The Port of Los Angeles is currently conducting a demonstration of zero-emission equipment. Among the machines being tested are top handlers -- cargo trucks that lift containers with an overhead boom.
