Mitsui pledges constant renewable power supply in India

TOKYO -- Japanese trading house Mitsui & Co. has participated in a renewable energy project in India that has taken the unusual step of assuring a stable, round-the-clock power supply.

Renewables still have a reputation of unreliability. The risk of weather-related outages will be minimized by basing renewable energy projects in areas optimized for either solar or wind power.
