Siam Cement plans building material with 50% less CO2 emissions by 2030

VIENTIANE -- Top Thai materials maker Siam Cement Group will develop cement with a smaller carbon footprint, as it seeks to establish itself as a bigger supplier of products with low climate impact.

The new product will halve the carbon dioxide emissions of conventional cement during production, Executive Vice President Thammasak Sethaudom said in a recent interview with Nikkei.
