SINGAPORE -- Singapore aims to make climate-related disclosures mandatory for privately held companies in a move that would bring the city-state in line with global standards and make it one of the first markets in Asia to extend such requirements to unlisted companies.

The Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee (SRAC), set up by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and Singapore Exchange Regulation, released a list of proposed rule changes on Thursday.
